Plot : 35 Shots of Rum is an out of the world drama movie directed by Claire Denis. In this movie it has been shown how romantic relationship and time worsen a family relationship. Lionel (played by Alex Descas) was a grown-up widower. He drove a train to make his bread and butter. He did also share his apartment with his teen daughter, Joséphine (played by Mati Diop). Both of them had a warm mutual relationship and cared for each very much. In the same building, lived Lionel's now and then girlfriend Gabrielle (played by Nicole Dogue) and their friend Noé (played by Grégoire Colin). All four of them were more or less like a family. But when one of Lionel’s friends was retiring, Lionel realizes that he has also grown very much older and now he depends on her daughter. This thought annoys him and then he starts feeling bad about Joséphine's friendship with Noé. While, on the other hand Joséphine was fuming on him as she saws Lionel flirting with an attractive woman.
